The Public Services Department consists of Public Works, Engineering, Planning & Building Services, Code Enforcement and the Permit Center.
- Public Works is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the water, sewer, and stormwater utilities as well as all public parks, streets, sidewalks, right-of-ways, and traffic signs and signals within Bonney Lake city limits. Other responsibilities include management and maintenance of the City's fleet of vehicles and construction equipment and administration of the Community Forestry program.
- The Permit Center issues permits in accordance with pertinent codes; provides permit tracking and inspection scheduling for customers; and provide customer service to internal and external customers of the permit center.
- Engineering oversees the development of environmental, transportation, utility, and other Public Works related capital projects and programs of the City to ensure technical competence and compliance with standards and codes; and takes the lead on, and manages, most of the capital improvement projects of the City.
- Planning & Building prepares the City's Comprehensive Plan as well as development policies and design standards for the City's physical development and environmental protection; administers adopted building codes, inspections, and other long‑range plans; evaluates and revises the zoning and subdivision ordinances as needed; and works with our local planning and design commissions to plan the appearance and use of land in Bonney Lake.
- Code Enforcement responds to violations of the Bonney Lake Municipal Code. Code violation concerns should be reported using a Request for Action Form.
