Code Enforcement

The Code Enforcement Program at the City of Bonney Lake consists of an interdisciplinary team of professionals throughout various departments and division.  The city does not employ a code enforcement officer, instead the City accepts request for action forms from the public and assigns the case to the division responsible for the enforcement of the relevant codes.  This approach is designed to provide the highest level of expertise in response to the needs of our residents.

Citizens experiencing a life threatening emergency should call 9-1-1.

Citizen seeking help with pets and domesticated animals should contact Metro Animal Services directly, by calling 253-299-7387 extension 1.

Citizens seeking help with outdoor burning should contact East Pierce Fire and Rescue directly, by phone at 253-863-1800 or email.  Information on outdoor burning is also available of EPF&R Residential Fire Requirements website

Citizens seeking help with electrical issues should contact Labor and Industries directly, by phone at 1-800-423-7233 or email.

Citizens seeking to report a wildlife sighting (such as bear and deer) should contact the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife directly at WDFW Enforcement Wildcomm by email or phone at 360-902-2936 Option 1.

Citizens seeking support for nuisance wildlife should contact WDFW directly by email or phone at 360-249-4628.

Citizens with concerns related to homeless encampments or illegal activity should contact the Bonney Lake Police Department directly.   The Bonney Lake Police Department non-emergency number is 253-287-4455.

To begin any review of a potential code violation please submit a Request for Action Form.  When submitting a request for action form it is critical that you provide the address and a description of the potential violation.  The form also provides you with an opportunity to upload supporting documents.

A request for action form is the only way to begin a code enforcement investigation, complaints or concerns are not accepted via phone.
