The Bonney Lake City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., to consider a proposed resolution (R25-59) regarding the surplus and sale of City-owned property.
The property under consideration includes two parcels (Tax Parcels 0520261042 and 0520261041) totaling approximately 20.1 acres. The site includes a residential structure and three accessory buildings.
As authorized by Bonney Lake Municipal Code (BLMC) 2.70.100 and Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 39.33.020, the City is proposing the sale of the property with the condition that it be used for recreational purposes. The sale would also require the granting of an easement to support future trail development, specifically a connection between the planned Fennel Creek Trail and Flume Trail.
The hearing will take place at the Bonney Lake Justice & Municipal Center, located at 9002 Main Street East, Bonney Lake, WA 98391. Community members are invited to attend and provide public testimony. Written comments may also be submitted in advance to the City Clerk at 9002 Main Street E, Suite 300, Bonney Lake, WA 98391.
The City Council packet will be available on the City's website on Friday, August 8:
