Committee Responsibilities
The Community Development Committee (CDC) was created for the purpose of advising the City Council on matters related to the planning of the physical, economic, aesthetic, cultural and social development of the City, zoning codes, building codes, sign codes, annexation policies, parks and recreation and all City utilities in coordination with the Community Development Department, Planning Commission, Building Department, Parks Department and the Public Works Department. Public Safety Committee

Schedule
The Public Safety Committee is held the 1st Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. and the 3rd Monday of each month when needed. The Committee meets in the Public Safety Building.

Committee Responsibilities
The Public Safety Committee was created for the purpose of advising the City Council on matters concerning the overall safety of the citizens who live within our community that pertain to police and fire protection, the Municipal Court, emergency services and animal control in coordination with the Police Department, Fire District, and Civil Service Commission.  (BLMC 2.04.860 (B))

Voucher Review Committee

Schedule
Voucher Review Committee is held the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 4:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.

Committee Responsibilities
The Finance Committee also serves as the Council's Voucher Review Committee for the City. The Deputy Mayor acts as chair of both financial committees. The Voucher Review Committee reviews the City's vouchers and payroll for approval recommendation to the full Council prior to any checks being released for payment.
