Community Development Committe
Schedule
The Community Development Committee meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. at the Justice Center in Room 203 (2nd floor conference room).

Committee Responsibilities
The Community Development Committee (CDC) was created for the purpose of advising the City Council on matters related to the planning of the physical, economic, aesthetic, cultural and social development of the City, zoning codes, building codes, sign codes, annexation policies, parks and recreation and all City utilities in coordination with the Community Development Department, Planning Commission, Building Department, Parks Department and the Public Works Department. Public Safety Committee
Schedule
The Public Safety Committee is held the 1st Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m., and on the 3rd Monday of each month when needed. The Committee meets in the Public Safety Building.

Committee Responsibilities
The Public Safety Committee was created for the purpose of advising the City Council on matters concerning the overall safety of the citizens who live within our community that pertain to police and fire protection, the Municipal Court, emergency services and animal control in coordination with the Police Department, Fire District, and Civil Service Commission. Finance Committee

Finance Committee is held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Justice Center Chambers.

Committee Responsibilities
The Chair of the Finance Committee shall be the Deputy Mayor. The Chairs of the Community Development Committee and the Public Safety Committee shall also serve on this Committee with the Deputy Mayor. The Finance Committee was created for the purpose of advising the City Council on matters concerning the general fiscal and financial operations of the city, budget and financial reports, policy matters related to city finances and personnel, including, but not limited to, the salary grade schedule, position classifications and salary changes in coordination with the Mayor and Chief Financial Officer. (BLMC 2.04.860 (A))
The Finance Committee also serves as the Council's Voucher Review Committee for the City.

Voucher Review Committee
Schedule
Voucher Review Committee is held the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 5:30 p.m. (during the regular Finance Committee meeting) in the Justice Center Chambers.
Voucher Reports: Available to download here.
Committee Responsibilities
The Finance Committee also serves as the Council's Voucher Review Committee for the City. The Deputy Mayor acts as chair of both financial committees. The Voucher Review Committee reviews the City's vouchers and payroll for approval recommendation to the full Council prior to any checks being released for payment.
