Committees, Commissions & Boards

			Citizen Advisory & Ad-Hoc Committees Currently the City has organized the following short-term citizen's advisory committees:
			*Shoreline Management Plan Advisory Committee* The Shoreline Master Plan Citizen's Advisory Committee will review and advise Council on possible updates to the Shoreline Master Plan.

			*Lake Tapps Boating Advisory Committee* The Public Safety Committee organized this short-term advisory committee to consider speed and noise issues on Church Lake (Lake Tapps).

			Planning Commission The Planning Commission reviews and makes recommendations to the City Council on land use issues such as Comprehensive Plan amendments, zoning, and planning policies, procedures and fees.

			Design Commission The Design Commission reviews and advises the Planning Department and Planning Commission on issues and application of City design and development guidelines.

			Park Board The Park Board is a seven member board which exists to assist in the development of the Parks Element of the Comprehensive plan as well as recommend park policies, rules and more.

			Civil Service Commission The Civil Service Commission is a three member commission which serves to regulate the testing, hiring, and other personnel matters of Police Department employees.

			Council Sub-Committees The City Council has four sub-committees for the purpose of reviewing and advising to the whole Council. The Community Development, Finance, Voucher Review and Public Safety Committees.
