| Fun Run & Walk |
Join your neighbors and friends for this 5-mile run & walk. This is a dog friendly event, so you can run with rover! Each paid registrant receives a free t-shirt and medals are awarded to the top finishers. Sponsored by Fleet Feet Sports.

Run Starts: 9:30 a.m. @ Emerald Hills Elementary (shuttles take participants to the starting line)

The annual parade begins at 9:30 a.m. on West Tapps Hwy, adjacent to Allan Yorke Park.

Missoula Children’s Theater – "Beauty Lou and the Country Beast"

The Missoula Children’s Theater provides a week-long residency "starring" 50-60 of our local students in a full-scale musical. MCT has been touring now for more than 30 years, visiting nearly 1,100 communities annually in all 50 states, 4 Canadian Provinces and overseas. Parks Appreciation / Arbor Day

Come join residents from all over Pierce County as we clean up our local parks. In Bonney Lake, we'll be cleaning up the WSU Forest for this year's Parks Appreciation Day and Arbor Day Celebrations!
Volunteers will meet at the "new" WSU trail head located between Fred Meyer and Regal Cinema, south of SR 410. Click the image at right to view a full-sized map. Please bring gloves and rakes for the clean up project.
City staff and volunteers will also be working on a rain garden at the Public Safety Building. Children ages 1-11 are welcome. Bring your baskets and your camera to take a free picture with the Easter Bunny. Don't be late. Once the gun goes off, it's over in a manner of minutes!
Teen & Adult Flashlight Egg Hunts

Brave the mad dash of other “big kids” such as yourself and join us for the 1st ever Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt and 2nd annual Adult flashlight egg hunt! With over 2,000 eggs to find, you will have a chance to win prizes such as restaurant certificates, spring gift items, soda, chips, candy and much MORE! Event will take place rain or shine so dress appropriately.

Mayor Johnson is looking for an honest and open dialogue with the residents of Bonney Lake and will take a few minutes to share his thoughts on many different community issues.

Community Pancake Breakfast & Town Hall Open House

8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The Bonney Lake City Council will host a pancake breakfast and Town Hall open house on Saturday January 30th, from 8:30 to 10:30 am in the Bonney Lake Senior Center (19304 Bonney Lake Blvd).
Before or after you fill up on hot cakes, you can visit with the mayor & city council members about community issues of concern. We will be providing information and listening to your comments.
You'll find informational displays on topics such as:
* WSU Forest, Trees, Trails, and Parks;
* General Updates on City and private capital projects;
* City’s new Interim Justice Center project and downtown plan;
* Current and planned transportation project; and
* Focus group on general City services.
This is a family event, so before getting busy on your Saturday activities, please stop by. We would enjoy meeting the entire family and hearing your views over a stack of hot cakes. We promise not to pour it on too thick!
The City Council is also interested in using some of this time to conduct a 30 minute focus group exercise on general City services. There will be 2 focus group sessions, one starting at 8:30am and the other starting at 10:30am. If you are interest in participating, please plan to arrive at either 8:30 or 10:30am.

During Spring Clean Up Week, D.M. Disposal will pick up extra garbage, recycling and/or yard waste and one appliance at no additional charge for customers inside Bonney Lake city limits.

Clean Up Details & Requirements
¤ Curbside pick-up only (no alley access).
¤ Up to 3 extra cans/bags of garbage and/or yard waste
- Additional cans/bags must weigh no more than 45 lbs when full.
- Extra cans or bags of garbage or yard waste should be placed for pickup by Thursday April, 15.
¤ One (1) appliance per household. Acceptable appliances include:
- Refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, dishwashers, freezers, hot water heaters, washers or dryers.
- Appliances must be placed for curb-side pick up by 7:00 am on Monday, April 12th
Spring Clean Up is available to customer accounts inside the city limits of Bonney Lake only. This offer does not apply to Murrey's Disposal customers with accounts in unincorporated Pierce County.

Bark in the Park

This annual event is sure to be a favorite of dogs and their owners. The festival will feature exhibits, dog products, adoptable dogs, and prize drawings. Great dogs to see and greet, so bring yours (on a leash, please), then enjoy the off-leash area too!
Micro chipping will be offered by Metro Animal Services for a discounted rate of $ 25.00 (for canines only)!
1st Annual Doggie Olympic Games
Sign up for the 1st Annual Doggie Olympic Games at this year's Bark in the Park! Registration is $5.00 per event or $20.00 for more than four events. Funds raised from the Doggie Olympic Games will be used for creating a off-leash dog park in the City of Bonney Lake. Games include:
¤ Poochiro Obedience Baseball
¤ Peanut Butter Lick
¤ Dunking for dogs
¤ Frisbee Throw
¤ Rip Van Winkle Sleep Off |
¤ What no ducks, ball toss
¤ Dachshund Dash (1:30pm)

The event will be limited to the first 75 dogs registered. Please return entries and fees (see registration form, below) to Doggie Olympic Games, P.O. Box 7380, Bonney Lake, WA 98391. Events will start at 10:00am and conclude at 2:00pm. Best Costume will be held at 1:40 and Who’s your Daddy (a look a like contest) will be at 1:50 with awards passed out at 2:00pm. Please make sure to have your dog on a leash when not actively participating in an event. please use the off-leash dog area, to allow your dog time off of their leash. Funds raised from the Doggie Olympic Games will be used for creating a off-leash dog park in the City of Bonney Lake. For more information call 253-862-8602.
