Public Transportation


Sound Transit

Sound Transit serves the Central Puget Sound region with express buses and commuter trains. The Bonney Lake area is served by Sound Transit Route 596 (BonneyLake-Sumner).


Community Connections

Beyond The Borders is a free transportation service for older adults, individuals with disabilities and those with low incomes. Call 2-1-1 or (800) 572-4357 for eligibility and reservation info. Visit the Pierce County Community Connections for details.


Pierce Transit

Pierce Transit provides bus and shuttle transportation services in Pierce County. 
In October 2011 Pierce Transit eliminated bus routes serving the Bonney Lake area, and Bonney Lake decided to opt out of the Pierce Transit taxation and service area. Sound Transit Route 596 replaced the eliminated Pierce Transit Route 496 (see above).
