Adopt-A-Street is a public service program for volunteers who are interested in cleaning up Bonney Lake’s local streets and thoroughfares. It is an excellent way for residents, local businesses and organizations to make a personal contribution to this community. Scenic and litter-free streets say “Welcome” to all visitors, residents and businesses plus makes us proud to live and work in Bonney Lake.

The City of Bonney Lake Adopt-A-Street Program encourages volunteers to adopt an area of roadway that is one mile in length or more within residential and commercial areas for a 2- year contract period. For details view the Adopt-A-Street packet.
Additionally, individuals that require community service hours are welcomed to contact the Adopt-A-Street coordinator if they want to volunteer for a few hours removing litter along roadways without fully adopting a route. Groups are always in need of extra volunteers and this is one avenue in which to gain community service hours!
For a complete packet of the guidelines, procedures, and contract agreement, download the application packet or contact the program coordinator.

No application fee.
Adopt-A-Street Routes
Current Adopt-A-Street routes and volunteer participants can be found on the Adopt-A-Street Routes map.
NOTE: This map is subject to change as streets are adopted. The map may not reflect all currently adopted streets.

Why Get Involved?
Litter is unsightly – it destroys the natural aesthetics of our city. Volunteering offers an opportunity for residents and businesses to take part in making our community a better place to live and work.
Litter is problematic and very expensive – City maintenance forces and seasonal workers pick up litter year round as resources allow. Even with this effort, the City faces a challenge to keep up with this issue and others within water, sewer, storm water, streets and parks divisions.
Through the combined efforts with volunteers, improvements can be made in other areas of Bonney Lake which may not otherwise have been possible. And litter free roadways reduces the chance of storm drains clogging or flooding.
Our program is an opportunity for your group or organization to receive recognition for your volunteer efforts through the placement of an "adoption" sign (with your group’s name) and yearly volunteer recognitions sponsored by the City of Bonney Lake.
Adopt-A-Street Volunteer Recognition & Awards
The Adopt-A-Street Program volunteers collectively removed 505 bags of litter from local city streets in 2017!
In recognition of the Adopt-A-Street participant’s continuous support of this worthwhile program, the City of Bonney Lake annually recognizes volunteers for their extra effort to keep the City of Bonney Lake looking great.
