Bonney Lake Winter Storm Update 2/9/19 7PM

Good evening everyone!

First, a big THANK YOU to #WSDOT Area 1 Maintenance!!! WSDOT trucks have been dumping a salt/sand mix on one lane of SR410 as they pass through Bonney Lake on their way to other destinations. They are not obligated to do this but realize we are in a tough spot while we wait for our shipment of salt to arrive and are lending us a hand. A big thanks again to Area 1 Maintenance. Jeff and crew, you all are AWESOME! Stay safe, from your friends at Bonney Lake Public Works!

Public Works crews will remain on the roads again all night tonight trying to keep the slick areas to a minimum. It’s going to be a cold night, so unless you have to be out, please stay home. This helps us and other first responders get to where we need to go quickly and safely. With WSDOT helping us on 410, we were able to get trucks out into some of the residential areas. We’re hoping that this was a big help to you all. Please continue to be patient with us as we make our way around town. Thanks!

The National Weather Service – Seattle has issued a new Winter Storm Watch for western Washington. There will be TWO systems that impact the area. The 1st system arrives Sunday afternoon-night with light accumulations. The 2nd system pushes through Monday-Tuesday. For details and the latest weather updates, visit www.weather.gov/sew

Everybody stay safe as we prepare for another round of snow!
