Bonney Lake Water System Open House

Bonney Lake Water System Open House
Saturday, March 3, 2018
10 a.m. – Noon
Bonney Lake Senior Center, 19304 Bonney Lake Blvd

Bonney Lake’s water system is a complex network of pipes that delivered more than 1.3 billion gallons of water last year to a population of over 37,000. Join us at an open house to hear a presentation on what goes into providing safe, clean water to the community. The presentation will be given in three sections:

  1. Overview of water system
RH2 Engineering has served as the City’s engineering consultant for roughly 20 years. RH2 will take us through how Bonney Lake’s water system works and its history. In addition, the City is currently completing the fourth year of a 10-year plan to convert all water meters to radio read meters. Neptune Technology Group will present an overview of how radio read meters operate.
  2. Regulatory requirements
The Washington State Department of Health ensures water systems comply with state and federal drinking water regulations. The State Office of Drinking Water will provide an overview of its role in protecting the health of the people by ensuring safe and reliable drinking water.
  3. Water utility rates explained
The City hired FCS Group in 2017 to conduct a water and sewer utility rate study. FCS Group will present an overview of the utility rate study process and recommendations presented to City Council last year. This is an open house and does not include a discussion or public hearing on setting utility rates.

There will be limited time after each presentation for attendees to ask questions related to the presentation. If there’s not enough time to get to all the questions, people may write down their questions on a note card and we will share responses on the city’s website along with other meeting materials.

The open house is scheduled for Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Bonney Lake Senior Center, 19304 Bonney Lake Blvd.

If you aren’t able to join us for our open house, materials will be posted the following week on the City’s website at If you have questions about the open house, contact Leslie Harris at or 253-447-3280.
