Pierce County has issued a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS) for the proposed Tehaleh (previously known as Cascadia) Employment Based Planned Community (EBPC): Phase II, pursuant to the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA). The 45-day comment period on the DSEIS ends on February 5, 2018. Tehaleh is located outside the Bonney Lake city limits in unincorporated Pierce County.
Public Open House
A public open house will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Swiss Sportsmen’s Club of Tacoma at 9205 1981h Avenue East, Bonney Lake, WA, to provide information and solicit comments on the DSEIS.

From the Notice:
The approximately 4,756-acre Tehaleh site is located southeast of the City of Tacoma, south of the City of Bonney Lake, and northeast of the City of Orting, in eastern unincorporated Pierce County. The proposal is for an EBPC featuring a mix of uses, including at least 476 acres of employment center, up to 9,700 residential units, up to 400 acres of public facilities, and up to 2,048 acres of open space/recreational uses on the site. Full buildout of the Tehaleh EBPC is assumed to occur by 2030.
Pierce County is providing a 45-day comment period on the DSEIS, which begins on December 21, 2017, and ends on February 5, 2018. You may review paper copies of the DSEIS at the Planning and Public Works address below or at the Bonney Lake branch of the Pierce County Library at 18501 90th Street East, Bonney Lake, WA.
You can access an electronic version of the DSEIS and appendices on the County website… Comments on the DSEIS will be accepted through February 5, 2018. Comments can be provided in one of three ways:
