Good news as the weekend begins! The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency has lifted the Burn Ban for King, Kitsap, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties, as of August 11, 2017. Smoke levels have reduced to MODERATE or GOOD in most areas now.
Winds have reversed, and it is expected that the British Columbia wildfire smoke will blow east again for the next couple weeks. So for the next two weeks, the Puget Sound should be able to see above the tree line and breathe in some good quality air.
Fire safety burn bans are still in effect! Contact your local fire marshal for more information.
